Hydraulic drop hammers replaced the older pneumatic and diesel hammers for driving all steel piles. They are generally used to install piles in very dense strata, whether cohesive and non-cohesive. Their use allows conventional best practice driving techniques to be employed, penetrating more difficult ground conditions and reducing pile head damage whilst achieving better positional accuracy.
The range of VV hammers combine the efficiencies of high energy outputs of larger hammers, in lighter more compact units. Driving both single sheets and pairs (with standard legs and inserts).
