Lincoln Flood Defences Scheme and Ivor King feature on the Institution of Civil Engineers website

The £6 million flood alleviation scheme led by the Environment Agency, which saw Ivor King playing a key part in improving flood defences for around 4,000 homes and businesses in and around the city of Lincoln has been featured on the ICE website.

Working on behalf of JN Bentley at various locations, we installed almost 700 linear metres of steel sheet piles to the project, including the River Witham at Stamp End, Foss Dyke Navigation at Foss Bank, and bankside stabilisation works at Sincil Dyke near to Lincoln City Football Stadium.

Sheet piles were installed using mainly utilising Giken Silent and Vibration free Press-in piling techniques to protect the environment and avoid disturbance.

Ivor King are silent piling industry specialists and have invested multi-millions into this state-of-the-art equipment over the last decade.

This Lincoln Flood Defences scheme was recently shortlisted for the ICE (Institution of Civil Engineers) People’s Choice Award.
