Commitment to paying staff ‘Real Living Wage’ recognised by Living Wage Foundation
Ivor King is delighted to have been recognised as a Living Wage Employer, paying above and beyond the legal government minimum.
The real Living Wage is the only UK wage rate that is calculated according to the costs of living and is voluntarily paid by businesses who believe their staff deserve a wage which meets everyday needs – such as the weekly shop, or that surprise trip to the dentist.
Simon King, Managing Director of Ivor King said, ‘People are at the heart of everything we do and at the very core of our success, so I’m extremely proud that we’ve been awarded the Living Wage Employer accreditation, especially at such financially challenging times. This demonstrates the responsibility we feel towards our staff and the value we place on their contributions. Hard work deserves fair pay!’
We’re in good company too. Household names like Nationwide, IKEA and Nestle, along with construction giants Kier and Morgan Sindall have all pledged to pay the Living Wage, a commitment that guarantees its staff will earn a wage that meets the costs and pressures of daily life.
