At our extensive purpose-built training facilities, we can create various construction scenarios – the sort you’re likely to meet out on-site, using a wide range of plant and equipment.
CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) Courses
This CPCS training course is aimed at all operatives who require a formal qualification in the use of loading and unloading mobile plant under STGO legislation (Special Types General Order 2003).
The special types rules permit abnormal loads to be carried which exceed the weight or dimensions in the ‘Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986’. Vehicles most like to be used under STGO are abnormal indivisible loads, mobile cranes, engineering plant or road recovery vehicles.
The aim is to ensure candidates are trained to enable them to competently and safely fulfil the role after passing both the CPCS theory and practical tests.
