Learn with the professionals – expert Roto Telehandler training from Ivor King

CPCS Roto Telehandler training has become one of our most in demand courses, suited to all levels of experience, from the complete novice to those who already hold a regular telescopic handler licence (A17c)

Rotating Telehandlers are fast becoming the must have bit of kit on any construction site and enquiries for Roto training have increased considerably in recent times.

Our courses run on a regular basis, using the latest spec start-of-the-art equipment. This ensures your training adequately meets the modern demands of operating a rotating telehandler on site. We use both Manitou MRT and Merlo ROTOs for our practical training sessions.

The course will involve you learning to operate a roto proficiently enough to meet the standards set by CPCS. The course encompasses full training on using forks and a winch. Tasks include loading trailers, stacking, long reach and high reach, using all components of the 360˚ slew telescopic handler.

Once you’ve mastered this part of the training, you’ll move on to the suspended loads element of the course. This consists of working with slingers, shifting different types of loads using chains and slings, plus working at height acting as a crane to lift loads.

Upon successful completion of the course you’ll be awarded a total of three licences from CPCS. These are the A17c (telehandler all sizes) A17e (suspended loads non-rough terrain) and A77 (360˚ telehandler)

Having these cards can help you progress your career, bringing skills with a desirable salary to match. We offer a free assessment if you’re unsure of how much training you may or may not require.

For companies with their own rotos, we can cater our courses to suit your specific needs and may be able to offer specific attachment training.

With various projects such as HS2, there has never been a better time to upskill and get your telehandler licenses. With a facility like ours, there is literally no better place to do so.

Join us at our professional and modern training facilities in the heart of the Midlands and get the skills to progress your career in the construction industry. Easily accessible, we’re only 20 miles drive from Birmingham and just an hour from London on the train.
